Here at Top Game, we want every child to have a place to learn and grow comfortably. Previously, we had split the classes up by age group as opposed to skill level. Now, Top Game is implementing an "Essential" and a "Select" Class. This means that your child will be able to have a class to learn all of our basic techniques, and when the time comes, move on to a class to learn the more advanced side of Jiu Jitsu. All beginners and new student s trying classes for the first time will be in the essentials class. Information on class time and our schedule can be found HERE.

ESSENTIAL CLASS: In the essentials class, your child will learn the basic movements, positions, and submissions that encompass BJJ. Classes are on Mondays and Thursdays at 5pm as well as Tuesdays and Fridays at 6pm, you can see our full schedule HERE. Furthermore, its a great class to reinforce balance, coordination, and spacial awareness that will be beneficial outside of the gym as well.

SELECT CLASS: In the select class, your child will learn how to put all of the basics they've previously learned in the essentials class together. Classes are on Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm as well as Tuesdays and Fridays at 5pm, you can see our full schedule HERE. This class focuses on competition training, focus, and making your child a well rounded BJJ student. This class is not just for the gifted athlete, to be selected you need to show all of the qualities of a martial artist such as paying attention, following directions, and helping others achieve success.

WHY BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU:  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on technique and leverage versus size and strength.  Even the smallest student can excel Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since it is based on the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defeat a larger, stronger opponent by using technique to apply submissions.

  • Bullyproofing:  Martial arts teaches children to stand up for themselves and others in bullying situations.  Preventing bullying does not mean resorting to violence, it means having the confidence to stand up for what is right.

  • Health & Fitness:  Student will benefit from the physical training they receive in practicing techniques.  Additionally, we perform a cardiovascular warm-up and stretching prior to class.  Even our games at the end of class are designed to raise the heart rate and expend energy.

  • Focus & Grades:  Top Game coaches require students to pay attention during the instructional portion of class.  This is not always an easy task for children, but is achievable with practice and persistence.  It is not surprising that martial arts students are more focused and make better grades than non-martial artist.

  • Respect:  Top Game students learn to respect their teammates, coaches and others in their everyday lives. Most parent are very surprised and impressed at the change they see in their child after starting martial arts.

Top Game Jiu Jitsu would like to partner with you to help cultivate the martial artist in your child.  You can schedule your first FREE Class HERE. If you have any questions, please call: (940) 600-4806

Michael Magness, Owner of Magness BJJ

My two young children and I train at Top Game and love it. The atmosphere reminds me more of a family setting versus random people just coming together to train. My children adore Coach Blake, he is a great coach and very knowledgeable. Coach Dave has been my training partner on a few occasions and I enjoy the fact that he doesn't take it easy on me simply because I am a girl. My family enjoys training at Top Game and I recommend this place to anyone looking to get into bjj, whether they are beginners or advanced.
